Event: The Insomniax After Carnival Special

The Insomniax have the distinct honour of being the only music I bought on a first listen and didn’t regret this year. They sound like what Platnium Pied Pipers would be doing if they were born in Britain: forward thinking, sweet synth’d, home grown R&B with a cheeky-chap wit to the lyrics. Listen to their ode to the idle life below and agree with me.

Exciting, no? They’ll be dropping a live set next Monday as an After Carnival Special at Life down Old Street, along with a few DJs from Blacktronica and A2B Records. I highly recommend. In fact, I recommend them so much, I’ll be there myself.
