The First Poejazzi of 2011: Kadija Kamara, Warsan Shire, Bridget Minamore, Kiki Investigates

London’s premier spoken word and music night” – The Southbank Centre
TimeOut Critic’s Choice No.1
Five-Star Review at the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2007&2008)

Kadija Kamara, a superb singer-songwriter who has worked with Zed Bias, Sway and Mark De Clive Lowe, brings her alternative soul sound to the Poejazzi stage. She is joined on the bill by two poets of rare quality; Warsan Shire, whose stark and elegant style recalls Naguib Mahfouz and who has been featured in Vogue Italia, and Bridget Minamore, the Roundhouse Slam finalist who has been featured in The Times. This finest of line-ups is rounded off by the vivid and ethereal folk of Kiki Investigates.
