Poejazzi Presents: The King’s Will Plus Support, Dec 13 at C.A.M.P

We can think of no better way to end the Year Of The Poet (Verse 2) than a performance of possibly the most ambitious spoken word/electronica album of recent years. Ladies and Gentlemen; it’s the début gig of The King’s Will’s As The Power Fails

The King’s Will is Musa Okwonga as the The Fool and Giles Hayter as the Vassal, As The Power Fails is a rich, beautifully leftfield labour of love, loosely inspired by Shakepeare’s King Lear, encapsculating politics, the human condition, love, homophobia, fear. Believe us, there is nothing out there quite like this, out there, at all, and their live show promises to be a unique, otherworldly, original and electric experience.

As if that wasn’t enough, underground darling of the moment Tanya Auclair will be returning to Poejazzi after her tantalising set last year. Finally, SBTV favourite James Massiah will also be debuting with a spoken word set.

Tickets cost £5 online here and £10. We’d rather you saw us for cheap. We know you would too :-)

All guns blazing is how we’re leaving 2011. This is going to be our best night, most likely. Come be part of it.
